Another main motive of this scheme is to grow the economic status of backward people.
For farmers’ social and economic welfare, the PM has also launched a Revised Kisan credit card scheme along with the PM KUSUM Scheme. There is an excellent opportunity for the farmers. Farmers will only have to pay 10% of the cost to purchase the solar pump. Under this scheme, proper education of farmers through training and various inputs is also included.

Yes, as we mentioned above, farmers can sell solar energy directly to the government of India.
All farmers (individual/groups/cooperatives/panchayat/Farmer Producer Organizations (FPO)/Water Use Associations (UWA)). The land on which the project is to be installed should be under 5 km from the nearby electricity substation.
Individual farmers, Water User Associations, and community/cluster-based irrigation systems will be covered under this component.
