Dushyant Chautala said that he had requested the Central Government during the meeting yesterday that the quantity of about Rs 20,000 crore lying within the compensation fund should tend to the states immediately. He said that following his promise, Sitharaman allocated the Compensation Fund to all or any the states, during which Haryana’s share of Rs 761 crore has also been released.

Chandigarh At the request of Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala (Deputy Chief Minister of Haryana), the Central Government has released Rs 761 crore of Haryana’s share of the GST’s Compensation-Fund of around Rs 20,000 crore. The Deputy Chief Minister has thanked the Union minister of finance Nirmala Sitharaman for the discharge of Rs 761 crore from Haryana’s share of the Compensation Fund. The Deputy Chief Minister said that he attended the 42nd GST Council meeting of the Union Government virtually from Chandigarh, during which Union minister of finance Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister of State Anurag Thakur, Chief Minister of several states, Deputy Chief Ministers, Ministers, and lots of senior officials were present in New Delhi.

Dushyant Chautala said that he had requested the Central Government during the meeting yesterday that the quantity of about Rs 20,000 crore lying within the Compensation Fund should tend to the states immediately. He said that following his promise, Sitharaman allocated the Compensation Fund to all or any the states, during which Haryana’s share of Rs 761 crore has also been released. The Deputy Chief Minister said that the difficulty raised by him about the rate available sanitizer was also clarified by the Union minister of finance, which can benefit all the states. He also informed that the GST Council has also approved changes within the return-filing system, to which GSTR-1 and GSTR-2B are going to be linked. He informed that the council has made the annual return for the year 2019-20 optional to taxpayers with a turnover of but Rs 2 crore.

Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala said that he also told the Union minister of finance that this year’s GST compensation of Haryana is outstanding for this year, which should be taken at the earliest. He said that he has also requested the chairperson of the council that the central government should keep the GST Compensation-Sess in situ within the future by fixing it for a period of three or 5 years after a period of 5 years.
