The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship aims to set up a visible and aspirational model training center. This state-of-the-art center is called Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra. The purpose of the center is to modify India into the world’s skill capital country. These centers provide vocational training in all districts of the nation.
The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) is the agency that implements the PMKK. This agency set up the center in all districts of India. These centers have the equipment that helps in high-quality, industry-driven courses. They focus on giving value that inspires them and the ability to get employment.

The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) is the implementing agency under PMKK. It works as a network manager to set up the centers. The NSDC endeavors to provide the necessary support in MIS system, finance and TP Empanelment. It also provides other support like branding, content, etc.

What are the components of PMKK?
BRANDING
All the centers are required to have a standard brand name, design and dimensions. They must stand to the branding guidelines that are available on the NSDC website.
COVERAGE
The NSDC will follow an approach based on clusters to allocate districts & set up centers. The training partners will be responsible to set up PMKKs in every district.
LOCATION
The center should be in a location where public movement, public transport and streetlights are available. In addition, any person can search the center on the NSDC website.
BIOMETRIC ATTENDANCE
The attendance of all the trainees and trainers are recorded by using a biometric device. They should have an Aadhaar card to make a record of attendance.
All the centers must adhere to the scheme-specific guidelines which will be used to monitor and record attendance.
INFRASTRUCTURE
The PMKK structure is determined on the basis of three categories. They are-
HOSTEL FACILITIES
The center’s hostel facility will be determined on the basis of PMKVY guidelines or other MSDE schemes.
EQUIPMENT
The PMKK will use the latest and advanced training tools. They are specified as per the Sector Skill Council (SSC). The centers will use the training equipment such as biometric attendance, smart classrooms, etc.
CENTER INSPECTION
Every center will be verified for branding framework and guidelines agreement.
ROOMS FOR COUNSELING, PLACEMENT AND MOBILIZATION

All PMKK centers must have one room that owns the facility of audio-visual equipment & internet. This enables the center to conduct visual training, industry webinars/seminars, etc.
