Cess related to corona (COVID19) treatment should be GST-free: Shashi Bhushan Rai

GST Free Corona has been trending in social media since a few days

Reacting to the demand being made by the Congress party, the senior leader of Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Shashi Bhushan Rai said that the Central Government should make GST free of all materials and equipment related to corona treatment as soon as possible.  In this regard, Rahul Gandhi and the Youth Congress have also made this demand on many occasions and for some days #GSTFreeCorona is also trending in social media.

It will be easy to win this battle due to being tax-free and important things like masks, sanitizers will be easily available to the poor people.  It would not be human interest to charge even a penny of GST at the present time, in this difficult time where the entire country and the world is fighting the outbreak of Corona, we should not delay in taking a decision in this regard.  It is wrong to collect GST on sanitizers, soaps, masks, gloves, etc. from the people who are suffering from sickness and poverty, the government should come forward for the needy people.
