RTI also known as Right to Information is the most vital legislation for the common man. It gives them the right to raise their voice against any public authority and their work. Be, it cleanliness issues, poor maintenance of roads, or problems with water connection, anybody can question under RTI Act.

The only intention behind this Act is to provide complete “Transparency”. It came to light in 2005 with the continuous efforts of anti-corruption activists.

What is RTI Act?

This Act gives the rights to the Indian citizen to access the details of State and Central Government. They can seek an explanation for the reasons like:-

  • Misappropriation of funds for constructing roads
  • Misuse of funds in Government development projects
