Deadline extended, now traders can fill their annual returns by 31st August
The last date for filing the GSTR-4 annual return for 2019-20 for traders falling under the Samadhan scheme was set for tomorrow ie July 15. Now traders are relieved because the deadline has been extended to 31 August. the shape couldn’t be uploaded on the portal. thanks to this inconvenience, traders were unable to file returns. In such a situation, there was also anger among the traders for not filing returns.
The government extended the date of July 15 thanks to the lockdown
Under the Samadhan scheme, traders are required to file CMP 08 every third month and annual return GSTR-4 at the top of the fiscal year. The last date for GSTR-4 was 30 April, but thanks to the lockdown, the govt had increased it to fifteen July. However, the GSTR 4 form has not been uploaded on the GST portal. Businessmen are worried about this.
Thoughts on extending the deadline
Traders don’t know what they’re going to need to fill. The state president of the Confederation of All India Traders Mahendra Goyal had conveyed the disadvantage to the CBIC and GSTN network through a tweet on July 7. On which it had been said that the knowledge has been taken cognizance and to get rid of this problem and extend the deadline is being considered. There are two days left on the last date, but neither the shape is uploaded nor the notification regarding extension of date was issued.

The state president of the Confederation of All India Traders says that 15-20 lakh traders across the country need to fill this return. The GSTN portal has become a joke for traders. the govt should act treason against the corporation that maintains it.
