Demand to increase the date of filing annual return in GSTR-9
The Mewar Chamber of Commerce and Industry has sought to increase the date of filing of GST annual return GSTR-9, 9A, GST audit return 9C by 3 months rather than 30 September to 31 December 2020. A report was sent to the Union minister of finance, Finance Secretary, and other officials regarding this.
General Secretary RK Jain said that different types of annual returns are to be filed by September 30 under GST. But this year, the long lockdown brought down industries and trade. Business activities have started gradually after the permission of the govt, but the industry and trade are still not fully operational. Most employees in many places work from home
There also are some difficulties arising. aside from this, tons of returns are to be filed by 30 September under various government laws. alongside this, GSTR-1, GSTR-2B, and 3C also are to be matched to the accounts of various parties for the input decrease. an equivalent has got to be done from the info filed on the portal. If the info isn’t fully entered on the portal, then the merchant can take only 10 percent credit.
Therefore, to urge the input decrease, it’s necessary to match the info among themselves. Many employees are in isolation. In such a situation, the demand to increase the annual return GSTR-9, 9A, GST audit return 9C by 31 December is cheap. This demand is raised due to COVID-19. During this epidemic, most of all countries facing bad situations. We can look toward India its economy also goes in debt approx 23% of current GDP. however, all businessmen are not able to fill GSTR-9 on time this is the main reason that people demand extending the date of filing the annual return date of GSTR-9.
